You have successfully navigated at least one interview, and now you at looking at your next opportunity, but it has been a while since your last interview, and you want to ensure you are interview-fit! This class reminds you of the fundamentals to a successful interview and how you can apply for that next important stepping-stone with confidence. Class Agenda 1. Introductions: -5 minutes a. What do you hope to get from this class? b. What you need to know about this class 2. Interview psychology: -30 minutes a. How to think about an interview. b. How to plan your interview. c. What kind of candidate are you? i. How will you compare to the competition. ii. Making yourself a first-choice candidate. d. Different interview requirements for different business types? i. SME—small-to-medium enterprise ii. National business iii. MNC’s—multinational corporation e. Managing interview nerves. f. Managing expectations g. Reading between-the-lines in a job description. 3. Interview success: –30 minutes a. Assessing your strengths and weaknesses for the role. i. and how to use them to strengthen your desirability. b. Researching their business. c. Assessing your interviewer(s) d. Assessing your environment. e. Dealing with unexpected questions f. Asserting yourself effectively. g. Salary negotiation h. Things you should, and shouldn’t, do. 4. Q & A: –25 minutes a. Ask me your questions. Additional information I. Once you book your class, you will receive an email confirmation and a link to this Online Zoom Class, which you simply click on at the time of the class. You do not need a Zoom account. II. Not everyone is comfortable being on camera during the call, so please do what works for you best. You’re stuck with my face, however. III. I allot extra time after the class to answer any questions. It is up to you if you wish to stay. IV. A maximum of ten people per class keeps it low-key and friendly. V.
